CLANS ARE NOW FORMING!

Clans are slowly starting to emerge. Are you up to the challenge of forming a clan? We'll find out. If you would like to join the clan movement and form a clan, click on the link below. Send us the name of your proposed clan, your screen name and email address and we'll post it for prospective clan members to be able to contact you. It might be advisable to limit your clan to about 5 people at this time, you can always make it bigger later.

I want to form a clan.

The following people are forming clans. Email them for more information on how to become an official member of their clan. Please note: The clan names are not set in stone as of yet. I will post the official clan name when the clan leaders email me.

**AZ**Denmo* put a very interesting idea on the message boards: Acro Clans. For those of you unfamiliar with what a "clan" is, a clan is just a group of likeminded folks who like to play together. This brings about some very interesting possibilites for Acrophobia. Clan "A" could get together and play with each other, or against another clan. Quake clans identify themselves with a common set of characters in their screen name. For example, if I, Mr. Bean was a member of the AAAA clan, my screen name might change to Mr. Bean (AAAA). Members of my clan might include nightmarefred(AAAA), Humdinger(AAAA) and mrs. bean(AAAA). Clans and teams have been very successful in other games like Quake, Monster Truck Madness, and Nascar2, just to name a few.

There could even be clan tournaments in which many clans would compete in an organized, competitive environment. How you could "reserve" a room for such a purpose is not known yet, but future versions of the game could very well include a feature to create your own room and password protect it. This would prevent others from being "kicked out" of a room and prevent interference from non clan members during games. There are a lot of details to be worked out yet as this is a new idea, but it is a promising one indeed.

    Here's a letter **AZ**Denmo* sent me.

Hey Mr. Bean,
Thanx for the input, I think that would be a great
Idea. 1 thing, I was thinking instead of clans, we
would call them "Asylums...". You know, because
anyone willing to join it would have to be addicted,
maybe even obsessed, with Acrophobia. I love the
logo design, and if anyone has any objections, we can always change it
later. If you have any probs with my suggestion,
keeping it as is will be just fine. Good work. It's
nice to see that a lot of people have gone into the
idea with me. =)

**AZ**Denmo*

**AZ**Denmo* is thinking about forming a clan, others will surely follow. If you would like to form a clan, talk to the people you like to play with online, or post a message on The Acro Board. If I can be of any assistance with forming clans, just let me know. I will also be happy to post a link to your Acro Clan page.
